MISSION:
The mission of this program is to prepare students for employment
in Fire/Rescue Services and Allied Health. This training will
empower the participant to develop a safety, health and wellness
consciousness.
DESCRIPTION:
The training includes training in emergency skills and provides
practical application of those skills during classroom mock situations,
emergency room, emergency rescue, and emergency transport situations.
The student will be prepared for the national and/or state exam.
UNIQUE REQUIREMENTS:
The State of Florida requires students to meet the basic
skills grade levels of: Mathematics 10.0, Language 10.0, Reading
10.0, prior to program completion. Must contact program coordinator
prior to enrollment to verify physical exam, immunization requirements
and program entry checklist.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/OTHER:
National Registry Certification/State of Florida Certification.

OCPs provide a student with early completion training options
linked to employment opportunities established by the Florida Department
of Education based on the Standard Occupational Classification
(SOC) system and accepted industry titles.
