MISSION:
Our mission is to prepare students with the technical and business skills needed to secure employment in the Industrial Distribution and Manufacturing Industries. Our graduates will be capable of obtaining positions in Technical Sales, Logistics, Support Services, Warehouse or Management.
DESCRIPTION:
This program prepares students for employment in the industrial distribution and manufacturing industry. Industrial distribution includes electrical, wholesale, plumbing, plastic, HVAC and other product distribution. Content includes, but is not limited to: distribution operations procedures, sales techniques, computer programs, business math, business letters and reports, inventory control operations, negotiating techniques, marketing and economics, human relations and industrial shop distribution applications. The course is taught in the classroom (18 hours week) and online (12 hours a week).

UNIQUE REQUIREMENTS:
The State of Florida requires students to meet a basic skills requirement prior to program completion. The basic skills grade levels for this program are Mathematics 9. 0, Language 9.0 and Reading 9.0
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: None as this time.
JOB TRAINING INCLUDES: Occupational Completion Points (OCP)
OCPs provide a student with early completion training options linked to employment opportunities established by the Florida Department of Education based on the Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) system and accepted industry titles.
