MISSION:
The mission of this program is to provide students with positive life/work habits and a strong foundation in the development and production of multimedia presentations for successful employment in a competitive work environment.


DESCRIPTION:
This program is designed to prepare a student for employment in digital media, new media, and multimedia positions.  The content includes an overview of skills needed for entry-level positions through practical experiences in digital photography, Web page design, digital video editing, and presentation development.  Specialized skills in multimedia presentations and production such as video editing, audio input, and simple animation are used to produce a variety of multimedia projects.


UNIQUE REQUIREMENTS:
The State of Florida requires students to meet a basic skills requirement prior to program completion. The basic skills grade levels for this program are:

Mathematics 9.0, Language 9.0 and Reading 9.0

JOB TRAINING INCLUDES: Occupational Completion Points (OCP)
OCPs provide a student with early completion training options linked to employment opportunities established by the Florida Department of Education based on the Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) system and accepted industry titles.

Local employers have verified that the range of wages that can be reasonably expected by students who enter this field upon completion of the program is:
