GETTING STARTED

Steps to Admission

Step 1. SELECT A PROGRAM AND APPLY ONLINE

Mid Florida Tech offers many career training programs, GED Preparation, High School Credit, Adult English Literacy classes (ESO), Apprenticeship, short term classes, and much more.  Browse our programs here then Apply Online.

Step 2. MEET WITH A COUNSELOR/ADVISOR

Our counselors and/or advisors will help you decide on the program or class that will meet your career objectives and learning goals. They will also begin the Mid Florida Tech orientation process with you. The orientation will include but not be limited to Financial Aid information and a tour of the program or programs you are interested in. If you are interested in a short term computer class or health CEU, skip to Step 4. Remember to bring your high school diploma, professional certifications, picture identification, and proof of residency.

Step 3. COMPLETE PROGRAM REGISTRATION PREREQUISITES

Prerequisites may be one or more of the following depending upon your program choice: placement testing (TABE or CASAS), meeting with the instructor (if applicable), and the MFT Orientation. (For Testing and Orientation Hours, please see the chart below.) After meeting with the counselor/advisor you will pay a $35.00 annual processing fee.  If the TABE or CASAS test is one of your program prerequisites you will pay a $15.00 testing fee before testing.

Step 4. REGISTER FOR CLASSES WITH A REGISTRAR

Once you have successfully applied and met the prerequisites for your program choice, a registrar will help you by registering you for your classes. At this time, the registrar will verify that you have completed the MFT Orientation and ask you if you have any additional questions they can answer for you about MFT.

Step 5.  TUITION, ID BADGE, and PARKING DECAL

Once you have registered for classes with the registrar, you will need to go the Business Office room 151, in the 100 Building.  In the Business Office, you will pay tuition, get your ID Badge and Parking Decal (if needed). Once your tuition is paid, you will receive your class schedule.
