Welcome to the Admission Department
at Mid Florida Tech!

It is our desire to assist you in your journey to success, whether that is to obtain your high school diploma, your General Educational Diploma and/or a technical certificate in one of our many technical training programs or to learn to speak English.

The Admissions department is located on the main campus of Mid Florida Tech, 2900 West Oak Ridge Road, Orlando, FL 32809 —Building 700, Room 700.  Once in Admissions, an Information Specialist will greet you.  Your questions will be answered and Admissions paperwork will begin.  Depending on which program area you desire, the procedures to enroll will vary.

Steps to Admission

Step 1. SELECT A PROGRAM AND APPLY ONLINE

Mid Florida Tech offers many career training programs, GED Preparation, Adult English Literacy classes, Apprenticeship, short term computer classes, health CEUs, and much more. Browse our programs here then Apply Online.

Step 2. MEET WITH A COUNSELOR/ADVISOR

Our counselors and advisors will help you decide on the program or class that will meet your career objectives and learning goals. Remember to ask about financial aid. If you are interested in a short term computer class or health CEU, skip to Step 4. Remember to bring your high school diploma, professional certifications, picture identification, and proof of residency.

Step 3. COMPLETE PROGRAM REGISTRATION               PREREQUISITES

Prerequisites may be one or more of the following depending upon your program choice: placement testing (eg. TABE), meeting with the instructor, or an information session. The TABE, "Test of Adult Basic Education", assesses your current academic grade level. Don't worry, test-taking tips and information about the test are available upon request. We are here to help you succeed!

Step 4. FINISH THE PROCESS

Once you have successfully applied and met the prerequisites for your program choice, an advisor will help you complete the process.
